Breakfast Cereals from Around the World

Breakfast cereal is hugely popular in the USA, and is not only eaten for breakfast, but as a snack as well. I eat ridiculous amounts of cereal, usually after 9 P.M. as a bedtime snack. For those outside of the USA who aren't too familiar with cereal, here is what Wikipedia has to say:

A breakfast cereal (or just cereal) is a food made from processed grains that is often, but not always, eaten with the first meal of the day. It is often eaten cold, usually mixed with milk, water, or yogurt, and sometimes fruit but may be eaten dry.

Now of course there are hot cereals as well, but this post is all about cold breakfast cereals. And of course, this isn't an exhaustive list, it's just a sampling from around the world. For a list of US cereals, click here. Also check out these vintage breakfast cereals part 1part 2 and part 3.
